HBO has released a new trailer for the upcoming second season of The Gilded Age, set to return on October 29. The season will also be available for streaming on Max.
Set on Easter morning in 1883, the season kicks off with the news of Bertha Russell's rejection for a box at the Academy of Music. Over the course of eight episodes, viewers will witness Bertha's determined challenge against Mrs. Astor and the established system. She aims not only to establish a place in Society but potentially to assume a prominent role within it. Meanwhile, George Russell faces his own struggle dealing with a growing union at his steel plant in Pittsburgh. In the Brook House, Marian continues her journey to find her place in the world by secretly teaching at a girls' school, while to everyone's surprise, Ada embarks on a new courtship. Naturally, Agnes disapproves of all these developments. In Brooklyn, the Scott family begins the process of healing from a startling revelation, and Peggy channels her activist spirit through her collaboration with T. Thomas Fortune at the NY Globe.
