Review: The Studio - Season 1

Okay, let’s talk about The Studio on AppleTV+, because this show has everything. From the jump, it grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. If you’re into comedy, drama, fast-paced plot twists, and a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment world, this is your new obsession.

The series takes you into the high-stakes, high-pressure world of a creative agency where people live and breathe the entertainment industry. Think of it as Mad Men meets Entourage, but even faster and with a ton more emotional depth.

Let’s talk characters for a second: wow. The cast is fire. Everyone brings their A-game, especially Kathryn Hahn. The chemistry between the cast is electric. Every character feels so real, even when they’re navigating the wild world of movie-making. You’ll find yourself rooting for them as they deal with the crazy pressures of their jobs and personal lives.

Visually, this show is gorgeous. The set design and cinematography are sleek and stylish, really bringing that fast-paced, high-end industry vibe to life. It’s got that polished feel, but there’s a rawness underneath it all that makes the drama hit even harder.

But what really makes The Studio stand out is how it digs into some deep themes: ambition, creativity, and the sacrifices people make to succeed. It’s not just a fun dramedy; it’s got some real insights into the hustle and grind behind the glitz and glamour.

The list of guest stars for this show is insane! Every episode brought someone new to play in this world and it was so fun to watch. The last 3 episodes are absolutely wild, and definitely my favorites.

In short, The Studio Season 1 is a total win for AppleTV+. It’s got it all: comedy, drama and excellent performances. If they don't renew this for season 2, I'll be so disappointed as I need more of this world!

The first 2 episodes of The Studio are available now on AppleTV+.
